"Miniature art consists of small picturesque pictures that became common in Muslim countries as illustrations in medieval manuscripts. It served as a significant decorative element, adorning pages and book bindings. Historical miniatures depicted characters from Arabic urban novels, Iranian epics, figures from popular Persian or Turkic poetry, and diverse historical events. These miniatures were compiled into Murakk albums alongside calligraphy samples, offering an avenue to appreciate beauty. The inception of miniatures in Central Asia can be traced back to Amir Temur, who brought skilled book art specialists and masters from conquered lands. In modern times, miniature art has seamlessly integrated into the cultural and artistic landscape of Uzbekistan.

"For me, art is the most beautiful manner to express the feelings in my soul. An artist's depiction, without capturing emotions, remains a fusion of dry paper and color. I find painting and miniature art particularly intriguing. The examples from the Samarkand school of miniature predominantly showcase landscapes, flora, fauna, portraits of local people, and ethnic attire. A notable trait is the frequent use of light and vibrant colors. Through my miniatures, I've endeavored to encapsulate the genuine essence of our people and contribute to the Samarkand miniature tradition."
