Guatemalan artisan Miguel Hernández proudly preserves two traditions - from his family and from his hometown - with the design of this cotton scarf. First, his weaving techniques on the traditional pedal loom honor the artistic legacy of Totonicapán, Guatemala. Second, he integrates the diamond patterns that have distinguished his family's designs through generations. 'This time I was guided by the combination of colors when I designed this red and white scarf with black accents,' confides Hernández.
