Domestic Rooster

The domesticated rooster and its mate, the hen, are widely spread throughout the world. Known for crowing at dawn, the perky little male flaunts a red crest and feathers of green and russet. Mauricio Morales depicts the gentle creature in a ceramic sculpture and carefully paints it by hand before protecting the colors with a coat of wax. The realistic figurine stands on wire legs and the feet can be wrapped around a perch or branch.
