Having learned to weave at the tender age of 8, Guatemala's Elena Ixtamer continues to preserve her family and cultural legacy in the art. This beautiful rayon scarf is woven by hand in an ikat pattern of navy on white. Ikat is a weaving technique that employs resist dyeing the yarns before weaving the fabric. Braided fringe trims both ends.
