Platanillo Leaves

Bronze sheet is used to handcraft the leaves of the platanillo, or heliconia flower in this pair of dangle earrings from Costa Rica. Soledad Borel designs the earrings, swinging from posts of sterling silver. Says the artisan, 'The diversity that exists in the Central American flora is something that has fascinated me from a young age; their forms are translated in these pieces that I have realized with much dedication.'
