This extraordinary ceramic decorative accent is inspired by the traditional Uzbek Kovush or Kalish shoes, which were once sewn with colorful yarns and adorned with vibrant decorations but are now commonly crafted in a black hue with plain designs. Transformed into a stunning accessory perfect for showcasing on table tops, it is handmade and hand-painted with rich hues of oxides and pigments by skilled artisans from the Hunarmand Association. The artisans use the ceramic techniques derived from the city of Rishton, known for its natural and eco-friendly ishkor glaze made from ashes of gulyak grass.
