This delightful wreath is from Elias Garcia in Guatemala, who incorporates quitapenas or 'worry dolls' made by the Lopez Garcias Family into his design. The wreath is covered with hand woven cotton fabric before being adorned with dozens of the tiny dolls, all clad in colorful hand-loomed fabric. The wreath makes a cheerful accent for any space.

According to legend, the princess Ixmucané was granted the ability to solve people's problems by the Sun God. Over time, people began to make tiny dolls or quitapenas in remembrance of Ixmucané. They would tell the dolls their problems in the hopes that Ixmucané would solve them. The custom became very popular, and continues to this day.
