Great Kiskadee

A creature of dramatic beauty, the great kiskadee's call seems to say 'kis ka dee!' The bird wears a black mask, his wings and tail are cinnamon brown while his breast is brilliant yellow. Mauricio Morales depicts the beautiful creature in a ceramic sculpture and carefully paints it by hand before protecting the colors with a coat of wax. The realistic figurine stands on wire legs and the feet can be wrapped around a perch or branch.
