Zandra Lorena Sajbin evokes Maya glory with the exquisite design of this necklace. Working with sterling silver, she crafts seven light green jade pendants. Ya'ax Chich in Maya, jade was regarded as a sacred symbol of life, fertility and power. Each gem on this necklace sits on delicately detailed settings featuring the quetzal bird, national emblem of Guatemala, and Maya characters holding a corn cob, regarded as sacred. Two of the pendants are adorned with the jaguar temple at Tikal flanked by two faces.
