Displayed atop a rectangular base, this archaeologically-inspired plaque is created by Ruben and Gilda Perez in Guatemala. They work with natural dark green jade, which they etch by hand with the image of a Mayan porter in a seated position. This image is surrounded with the symbols of the traditional Mayan calendar. The plaque and base are separable.
