Members of the Petén Wood Artisan Sculptors handcraft this pair of cooking spoons. With conveniently long handles, the spoons are made from distinctive light brown jobillo wood. The artisans choose woods that are native to the lowlands of the Guatemalan Petén to craft their work.

Hand wash with soap and water. Never use a dishwasher or expose the wood to heat sources or water, as they could cause it to warp. To renew the shine, polish the wood with vegetable oil and a soft cloth.
